Biblical Pre-Marital and Marital
Marriage is a divine, distinctive, designed, directed and enduring institution, instituted by Almighty God, and given to man in a state of innocence and happiness. Hear the divine record of the first marriage in human history. “And the Lord God said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.’ Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field…, And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. But, for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man.’ Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”
(Genesis 2:10-25).
Biblical Pre-Marital and Marital Counseling is based on the written word of God, the Bible. It provides understanding of God’s original purpose of marriage, principles of marriage, how to keep your marriage vows, and the wisdom of handling necessary and explicit everyday living.
The instruction is broken into ten (10) sessions at 90 minutes each:

Session 4 & 5: Communications
Session 6: Family Issues and Roles and Blended Families
Session 7: Mental Health and Well-Being
Session 8: Sexual Relations
Session 9: Financial Management
Session 10: Wrap Up- Certificate of Completion*
* To promote healthy marriages, a number of states will discount the marriage license fee or waive the waiting period if a couple completes a premarital preparation program. These programs teach skills such as effective communication and conflict resolution. Check with laws of your state
